Ray Rapaglia,
CRRA & Certified Mentor Trainer of Trainers
Our founder, Ray Rapaglia, is one of the most influential men in recovery in Broward County. With over 13 years clean and sober, Ray has been “Broward Recovery Person of the Year”, “Shomrim Society Man of the Year” (the nation’s largest Jewish Law Enforcement society), featured on the TV show Intervention, interviewed on ABC/NBC, recipient of the Golden Rule Initiative (recognized by the United Nations and the African Council), invited up to Washington DC to share his testimony on Capitol Hill and received a proclamation from the Mayor of Broward County, Mark Bogen, proclaiming that August 20, 2019, is “Ray Rapaglia Day” in Broward County Florida for his work at the James Club. Also, Mayor Michae Udine, presented Ray and James Club Recovery a proclamation proclaiming February 26, 2021, is “James Club Recovery Day” in Broward County, a celebration of their new Center in Oakland Park, Florida.
Ray Rapaglia, after using drugs and alcohol for over 30 years, is a “one white chipper”, meaning he has never relapsed since getting clean. He attributes this success to a unique methodology that he works in his program of recovery and he teaches this system to his mentees. He utilizes a concept called the “7 S’ to Success” and strongly believes in doing 12 steps quickly and then immediately taking others through the steps. Ray has helped and mentored thousands of individuals to achieve sobriety. Ray and the James Club are very well known for doing service and volunteer work in the community. The James Club regularly feeds the homeless, volunteers at soup kitchens, and gives back to the great cities they serve including Oakland Park & Fort Lauderdale.
Ray is on the board of directors of the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) and is a Board Member of the Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) Advisory Board.
Ray believes that working a correct program of recovery coupled with a right relationship with God will result in sustained sobriety from any addiction.
Ray is very active with his church and loves his community. He is happily married to Tracey Castillo and together they have five beautiful children.
Tracey Castillo, CRRA, Certified Mentor
Tracey has over 20 years of experience for a major New York Stock Exchange company retiring after being Director of Cash Management overseeing 145 employees. She utilizes that success to help advise the mentees on career and business skills.
As President of James Club Recovery, she oversees our administration and helps run the day-to-day operation. Tracey maintains a full-time office at The Center.
Tracey is married to Ray Rapaglia and has three young daughters.
Charlie Robinson, Program Director
With a diverse background in the treatment field, Charlie brings a wealth of experience to his role as Program Director at the James Club Recovery program. For over seven years, he served as the Assistant Director of a prominent faith-based program in the region, during which he empowered many individuals to maintain sobriety while fostering meaningful connections with the Lord. As the Program Director, Charlie oversees all aspects of the James Club Recovery program, ensuring it remains a supportive and nurturing environment for those seeking long-lasting sobriety. He is also actively involved in a nonprofit initiative that assists indigent individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health challenges, reflecting his deep commitment to community service.
Mentoring Program Curriculum
The James Club “How to Booklet”:
James Club has created a proprietary process to teach others how to take individuals through 12 steps. The “How to Booklet” enables individuals to gain confidence and develop a consistent habit of taking many people through the steps and helping others.
With over 15 years of experience, we believe this is the key to permanent sobriety. *Practical experience shows that nothing will so much ensure immunity from drinking/drugging as intensive work with other alcoholics/drug addicts. To us, this means taking many people through the 12 steps. James Club Recovery will furnish those individuals and guide you in this vital process. In our opinion, this unblocks an individual in his relationship with God. We believe God will reward the individual with sustained sobriety and a purposeful, joyful life.
The James Club Recovery Mentoring Program is an affordable alternative to treatment programs. Based on our founders experience, we believe this concept is more effective and prevents individuals from succumbing to the vicious cycle of addiction, but we offer no guarantees whatsoever.
The James Club Recovery Mentoring Program is designed to help individuals achieve permanent sobriety and a joyful, purposeful life. Our program is offered at the new James Club Center in Oakland Park, Florida. We include individual & group mentoring sessions, activities, events, catered meals after sessions, and volunteer opportunities. Our group meetings and studies are in a classroom-type setting with individuals urged to participate in discussions to share their innermost truth.
Please call the Center at (954) 445-0430 or Ray Rapaglia, on his cell at (954) 380-1492, for more details and pricing. Scholarships are available for deserving individuals.

If you are serious about your recovery (substance abuse/mental health) and seeking a brotherhood/sisterhood , support but also a place where you will be held accountable then James Club is for you.”
