Our Program:
Our vision at James Club Recovery was inspired by the original genius of the highly successful AA** program of 1935. We believe in a unique concept called the “7 S’ to Success” coupled with 12 steps and giving back to the community by doing much volunteer work. We stress the “Absolute Essentials” with the spiritual principles from the teachings of Jesus; The book of James (wisdom), 1 Corinthians 13 (love), and the Sermon on the Mount (humility). These same concepts can be found in almost every religion, or as we like to think of it, in every path to God. Our goal for you or your loved one is *permanent sobriety and to experience an amazing new inner joy that comes from a “spiritual awakening.”
Continuum of Care:
As a member of the Broward County Reentry Coalition Committee, we are extra sensitive to the needs of individuals re-entering society after being incarcerated. We provide employment placement services to our guests helping them to find honest jobs. Our pledge is to offer assistance, support, and love to deserving individuals who have paid their debt to society.
*James Club does not guarantee results
** We are not an AA or NA program and respect and admire both fellowships.
*** All of our fellowship meetings are held offsite. We are a home for substance abusers and alcoholics but not a substance abuse treatment center and do not dispense medications nor provide counselors.
Testimonials
My lawyer told me James Club was the Best in South Florida, they were right. James Club has changed my life completely, for the better. What an amazing experience!!
James club opened their doors for my brother. He had legal issues, struggled with drugs and was incarcerated. James club has excellent relationships with the courts and judges and helped him. I am very grateful to the James Club.
I had no place to go and no one to take care of me. The James Club accepted me with open arms and helped me get Food, Clothing and Shelter. I would definitely refer The James Club to all.
When I came into the James Club I wasn’t employed, I had a relationship with God but it was dusty. James Club helped provide roof over my head and kept me from using drugs and alcohool. Now being a graduate of James Club it has greatly improved the quality of life and my relationship with God! Thank you James Club for making my life amazing.
I am so grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of the success stories of James Club Recovery. I have been here for the past year. But for the grace of God and my participation in James Club, I would be nothing more than a statistic in the current crisis this nation is experiencing concerning the recent epidemy. Having a safe. clean and secure place to live and fellowship has been part of my foundation for success through James Club.
Everything changed when my younger brother, seeking addiction recovery, relocated to me eight years ago. Relationally, I became prone to enabling and codependency. Financially, our marriage became prone to arguments about whether or not to give him money. Emotionally, I found myself on a never-ending roller coaster of joy, sadness, confusion, anger. Spiritually, I found myself vacillating between frustration with God and begging God for mercy. But I adamantly believe in what the bible says: “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28). In this plight with my brother, I have experienced the manifestation of this verse. The good things have been a palpable compassion for addicts, and a mission to help them and help those who help them. James Club has been one of those to help him. They have unconditionally loved my brother and unconditionally tough-loved my brother. Two vital things for his comeback. In these eight years I’ve seen my share of shady recovery places. The James Club is not one of them. It is a beacon of integrity on a hill. It is a light of hope in darkness. The James Club is saving lives, restoring families and building better communities. To this, I return to Romans 8:28 that James Club “is working for the GOOD.” Thank you God! Thank you James Club!
The James Club is a great program and has changed my life. Their principles are a vital part of my memory. The 7S’ to success have helped me tremendously.
My previous address before being released from jail to the James club program was undernath a bridge. Through the help of James club I went from a criminal to a man of integrity. I learned how to become a respectable member of society through the principles of the program and the 7 S’s. Since graduating the program I have been able to become a father again and I am a contributing member of the community. I will always be forever grateful to the James club program for helping me to restore my life.
I have been truly blessed to be accepted into the James Club, the program has helped me get my life back on track. Ray, and the staff have been a tremendous help throughout my journey, and have been supportive since day one. Over all, I love this place, and everything the James Club has to offer, I recommend the programa to anyone trying to better themselves.
