How ItWorks
FARR Certified Recovery Residences
Our experience has proven that residing in a long term, structured recovery program is vital in achieving permanent sobriety. Looking to enter a good Recovery Residence is an excellent decision for someone struggling with drugs and/or alcohol. Willingness is the key and being accepted in a quality, FARR certified Sober home is a first step.
Pre-Assessment
The approval process is simple. Please call the James Club Center in Oakland Park, Florida for immediate consideration. Our center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM until 8 PM for a brief phone assessment. We want to make certain that you are a good fit for us and more importantly, if we’re a good fit for you. We are more than just a place to stay. We want to make sure that you are willing to commit to our curriculum and work an addiction recovery program.
Scholarships:
* Scholarships, when available, are offered through the James Club Recovery Foundation and its, “Pay it Forward Program”. Scholarships are subject to availability and certain conditions. Please contact our Center for more information.
Grace PeriodBeds
Subject to availability of a bed, if an individual is indigent and requires a grace period before rent can be paid, the James Club wants to help. That person must demonstrate willingness and agree to work our program of recovery. We welcome the individual to come into our facility with no money out of pocket on day one. We will extend a reasonable amount of time for that individual to start paying rent, contingent upon them seeking employment and following our program protocol. We do not provide food so the individual must be able to sustain themselves. To qualify for our Grace Period Program, an individual must have two forms of valid and current ID including a Social Security card (no copies). This ensures that the individual has the best chance of securing employment at a quality employer. We will do our best to assist the new guest with employment placement services. Please ask any staff member for more details about our program.
Assessment
We request that you visit our conveniently located office (near Power Line Road & Oakland Park Blvd) in Oakland Park for your face-to-face assessment before you receive final approval in the James Club Program. We will immediately give you a 12 panel drug test and breathalyzer to ensure the sobriety in our homes. You must pass a drug test and be negative for all mind altering substances. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Intake
Our intake specialist will guide you through our online application process. We will ask a series of very important questions to get to know you better with the goal of helping you with addiction recovery in any way that we can. You must have a minimum of 5 days clean & sober. Our 12 panel drug tests are the best in the industry and our alcohol strip goes back 84 hours. Always be honest with us.
Orientation
Our staff manager will then set an appointment for your one on one orientation with the senior man (manager) of your house (Club) to thoroughly go over our protocol and procedures. We will answer any of your questions. We will stress that this information, as well, is on all of our notification boards in each one of the Clubs. You are required to read our notification boards please.
Housing
You will then be assigned a bed, dresser and be introduced to the senior man of that house. You will receive a complete set of clean linens. The senior man will sit with you and explain how everything works and introduce you to your new brothers.
Ray’sRule
Our founders stress to all new clients that if you need ANYTHING, especially food, please let us know. If there are any issues or concerns, please let us know. We want to help.
Our Goalfor you
We truly want to make your story a success story and have you graduate our addiction recovery program in 6 to 9 months. It is our hope that you become an alumni of the James Club program and stay connected to us. We want you to sponsor many future newcomers and take them through the steps with “The James Club How To Booklet”.
OUR MISSION:
